I’m excited to host comedienne Kristen Studard at Norwood Club!
Prolonged Eye Contact is a an interactive solo show by comedian Kristen Studard about the search for love, connection, and approval by one performer with one audience. Kristen would like to be loved by you, monogamously. (She's a one-audience type of gal.) What happens when someone won't break eye contact? Uh oh, things just got real. Prepared to be wooed as Kristen opens her heart and her eyes and looks right into your soul. Are you ready to be seen?
About Kristen: Kristen Studard is a Los Angeles comedian, by way of Chicago. She has performed at SF Sketchfest, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, UCB, The Comedy Central Stage at The Hudson, and many more. The Chicago Reader called Studard "rubberfaced" and the Chicago Tribune said she's "smart and ironic... winningly offbeat". Kristen's TV credits include The Mindy Project and Wisdom of the Crowd, but you probably recognize her from riding a unicorn in an Icebreakers commercial.
Step Inside Norwood - A Home for the Curious
The Andrew Norwood House is an elegant urban residence designed in a transitional style which combines Greek revival and italianate features. A remarkably preserved slice of early Victorian architecture and lifestyle - both inside and out; the House is listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.
Inside is a perfectly preserved 1847 mansion with 13 fireplaces, huge mahogany doors and intricate plaster crown molding. Hidden touches abound, like the carved bird pecking a flower among the mantelpiece's Carrarra marble foliage.
Founded in 2007, Norwood is a unique and vibrant private members Club which draws its membership through New York's creative arts community. The house offers a unique, stylish and comfortable environment for members to dine, drink, connect, collaborate and thrive.
