And sometime we’re not able to see that on the surface.”

It’s coming on Christmastime in the city, and we’re hauling home trees.

But in 2020, everything feels… different.

Many people struggle with aloneness in a way that is new and unique. This makes sitting down to inspiring interviews and stories more vital now than ever.

In this first full episode of Learn Something Small, Jacqueline is joined by seasonal Christmas tree vendor Kyle Saeurbrunn. In one of the most inspiring interviews you can have with an almost-stranger, Kyle shares joys learned from his hard, 7-day a week outdoor job. He draws connections between his swaths of time in the city and country. And from this deep but short story, we learn how turning our attention to even fleeting connections can greatly help us during particularly lonely times.
